When we meet with a potential client for the first time we explain that Grand Home Care is a member of the UK Home Care Association. We explain that this is a Professional body of Home Care Agencies and their priority is to promote the highest standards of care in accordance with the Care Quality Commission and UK Care Standards.


Q. What are Care Standards?

A. The Domiciliary Care Standards Act was passed by Parliament in the UK on the 20th July 2000. Its main aim was to make sure that the care of vulnerable people was properly regulated, to improve the standard of care that was received by them and to introduce consistency in the regulation of services provided. 


Q. Can I pick the services I want?

A. Yes, you certainly can pick and choose the services that you want. You are the customer and you tell us what to do!

Q. Do I get to pick the person looking after me?

A. Yes, if you do not like the match we made you can help us in finding a better employee match.

Q. Is Grand Home Care service only available in the home?

A. No, we can provide our services to you whether you live at home or health care facility.


Q. What happens if my caregiver gets sick?

A. You have a choice of cancelling the appointment or allowing us to send a replacement caregiver.

Q. Are your employees trained?

A. Yes, most of our employees have specific training in a health discipline or have been trained internally through the Grand Home Care training program. Our employees are encouraged to continue their education and training throughout their employment with us.
